IMPORTANT TRIP UPDATE - FLIGHT 56
MORNING SEND-OFF - WELCOME HOME PARKING
MORNING SEND OFF – NEW LOCATION
Due to last minute mission requirements with the 122nd Fighter Wing, they unfortunately cannot host our morning send-off for Flight 56. They send their sincere apologies.
Morning sendoff will now be at the WAYNEDALE AMERICAN LEGION POST 241, 7605 Bluffton Road. Veterans and Guardians are highly encouraged to carpool. Parking for Veterans and Guardians will be in the American Legion Post 241 parking lot. Buses will return Veterans and Guardians to the American Legion Post 241 after the welcome home ceremonies at the airport.
Veterans/Guardians staying at the hotel are not affected. Shuttle service to the new location and back to the hotel that night remain unaffected.
ARRIVAL TIME IS STILL NO LATER THAN 5:15AM – PLEASE TRY NOT TO ARRIVE BEFORE 4:15AM SO OUR TEAMS CAN GET READY
NEW WELCOME HOME PARKING LOCATION
ALL WELCOME HOME PARKING MUST PARK IN THE OVERFLOW PARKING AREA.
Due to ongoing construction at the airport, everyone attending the Flight 56 evening welcome home activities are to park in the REMOTE parking lot located off Ardmore Avenue, North of the main Airport entrance. Signs and law enforcement will be in the area to help direct you. Shuttle services to and from the airport terminal will be provided.
Persons with handicap plates/placards are allow to park in airport handicap parking, if available. If not, please exit and go to the remote lot. Shuttles will be handicap accessible.
AFTER WELCOME HOME ACTIVITIES – pay attention to marked buses to get back to the overflow lot. There will be numerous buses going to different locations.
UPDATED ROAD ISSUES
The RR Tracks on Ferguson between the 122nd Fighter Wing and The FW Airport ARE CLOSED. You’ll need to use Airport Expressway to Ardmore Ave to access the FW Airport and remote parking lots. There is an exit on I-469 to Bluffton Road closed that will require you to find an alternate access if coming off I-469 Eastbound.
